NORTH LONDON WOMENS CRICKET LEAGUE
Rules 2006
Headstone Manor LCC has decided to participate in this league to allow its 2nd XI players a chance to improve and gain more confidence in playing cricket.
League Administration
- The name of the competition is the “North London Womens Cricket League”
- Administration of the league will be carried out by the NLWCL Committee
- Fixtures will be organised by the NLWCL Committee and include all teams expressing an interest in joining the league
- The results from fixtures will be uploaded on to the play-cricket website for the league by the winning team.
- The HOME team will offer 3 dates to the away team. These dates can be any day of the week.
- Teams will be 11 aside for fixtures being played, unless previously agreed by BOTH teams.
- Midweek games will start; weather permitting, at 6pm.
- Games should be played as 20 overs per innings, with a maximum of 4 overs per bowler (or 1/5 of the overs being played).
- All other rules for fixtures will be in line with ‘proper’ cricket rules, unless agreed by BOTH teams.
- Umpires are to be supplied by both teams, these can either be qualified umpires, or nominated people by the club, and also non batting players.
- Balls to ideally be “Womens” size of 5oz, one ball per game to be supplied by the home team.
- Teas (or lunch, depending on the time) will be supplied by the home team and a cost to be decided between the home and away teams.
Alteration of Rules - Fixtures changed to weekend dates should be played, starting at 2pm, agreed number of overs by BOTH teams.
- Bowlers will bowl a maximum of 1/5 of the overs being played. Every attempt should be made by both teams to play fixt
